Greetings!

If you’re reading this, then you or someone you know is interested in joining the Writing Team. Here at Un-Associated and especially in the Writing Department, we are in the business of inspiring, of using our personal experiences and the wisdom we have been given by God to uplift. It is our purpose, as well as our pride and joy to help our community separate themselves from the perceptions projected onto them by the world, but also help as many people as we can find their purpose, live in said purpose, and embrace who God created them to be.

If everything I said thus far resonates with you, then you might be a perfect fit for our Writing Team. Below are some guidelines and expectations for writers and editors joining the team:

  • Faith is essential to all content that we produce. Editorials are not only our most consistent forms of content, but they’re also essential to our mission and all pieces, be they about life, about loss, about joy, about sorrow, are rooted in faith, in Christianity, and in the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is impossible for us to do the work we do, to help others to find their purpose and embrace who they were created to be without faith and without God.
  • Commitment is a must. Applying for any position with the team, especially that of a writer means you are committed to the team, to our mission, and to contributing nothing but your very best.
  • It is not enough to be committed, but passion and love for this work are essential to this position as well. There is not a single person on this team, Writing or otherwise, that is not passionate about our mission, about the role they play in carrying out their mission, and ultimately, about doing God’s work.

On a personal note, I joined this company with no real idea of what it meant. I just knew I loved to write, and Un-Associated’s mission aligned with my values. Having grappled with low self-esteem and people projecting identities and names onto me, I was in a unique position and had wisdom that I simply could not keep to myself. Un-Associated is a company and a business, but first and foremost, it is God’s workmanship, just as we are.

If by this point, you are ready to apply as a writer or editor, then I look forward to reading your application, working with you, and doing God’s work. If you are not going to apply, I pray that you find the place that God would have you to be. Just because you don’t work with us does not mean you can’t be a community member. Nonetheless, whatever your choice ends up being, God Bless You.
