BLACK PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH
I was streaming on Youtube when I found this video. I believe there have been a lot going on between the Black community and the Christian church. I believe most of the division has been due to miscommunication, misinterpretation, and above all, the association between colonialism and Christianity throughout history.
Today we see a lot of Black people moving away from the church for a plethora of reasons. Many people have walked towards newer ideas or even rediscovered pre-colonial African religions. For a community of people who once formulated a Civil Rights Movement that’s foundation was the Christian Church, I find the current digression of Black Christians very interesting.
This is not a video to make people become Christian, but I do believe that this can be helpful to anyone who wants to open their mind to the discussion.
