Slow down

Breathe

find your inner peace

make time to make your mind feel at ease

Cause overworking yourself is a thing

It’s not as hard as you think

Mind going 100 miles/hr, but you need to check your speed

But don’t be afraid to push, push yourself to the brink

Feel like you’ve been flushed, and that’s when you sink

understand that things won’t always seem so Peachy-keen

This is the hard work they don’t tell you about chasing your dreams

Just don’t give in cause your closer than it seems

It will all be worth It when you finally achieve

and you realize that it’s not to the extreme

try to see the bigger Picture, slow down and just breathe

Breathe is a poem I wrote when I started to feel as if everything around me was going downhill but in reality it wasn’t. My anxiety was so high that every little mistake started to feel like it was going to be my demise. I did not realize I was in my own head until I took a step away from the things I was worried about and took some time to breathe, grab some food, and clear my head. A lot of times we become super anxious and exaggerate how much we do and how many things we are invested in, so when everything seems to hit you, it feels like a lot, but it isn’t anything we don’t already deal with any other day. Don’t make those days that feel the worse control how you feel, instead keep in mind your goals, relax, take a deep breath, and get back to killing it!
