There are many things in life that create hurdles that require you to jump over, and sometimes the biggest one is you. We tend to hold ourselves back from different opportunities, possibilities, and even destinies, before we break the code and make the switch. “The code” refers to what work; it highlights the ways to transcend through life. Many people become set in their ways of living and develop certain behaviors, sometimes based on their peers or environment. We get lost in an idea of what jumping over hurdles should look like, which might feel uneasy. However, if you learn to be authentic and learn to be vulnerable, it leads to being able to comfortably jump over obstacles. But it all begins with how we think.
Your mindset is your own, and it’s so powerful and unique, so be authentic. Knowing that you are accountable for you, and that you make decisions based on what you want, only makes decision-making easier. You begin to understand what you need for yourself, how to attain it, and how to put yourself in positions that are comfortable for you. Being yourself adds natural confidence and shows in the work you create because it is work that you’re proud of, and work that other people notice and respect. Being true to yourself and being able to express yourself are important skills to have. Making moves because you want to make them is empowering and inspirational.
With inspiration comes the chance to be vulnerable. The most inspirational, persuasive, and motivational people are the most vulnerable. In church, we started off every service with testimonials, and at first, it was intimidating to stand up; speak about the troubles in our lives, and how we eventually have overcome them, or need help in doing so. Being able to share your story, and struggle, uninhibited, can persuade others not only do the same, but help people stand up and share their story. It adds a sense of comfort and assurance knowing that you have help, and are helping others simultaneously. On the surface, it may appear that nothing has changed, but feeling protected, supported, and comfortable alters your perspective on the troubles you face and allow for new heights to be soared and goals to be met.
The end goal is to be wealthy, happy, and or successful on your own terms, and that takes time and hard work. That work can feel easier and look effortless when you are comfortable. Comfortable does not mean things will be easy, it does not mean you are privileged and it certainly, doesn’t mean everything is handed to you. Comfort is being able to focus on your goals with less stress because you are in possession of the right resources to benefit you and your ambitions. Comfortable is a feeling, and you have the power to create that feeling.
