Peace and tranquility to you all and welcome back to our regularly scheduled programming. This is the May edition of 2019 and if your face just froze for a second, yes 2019 is almost over. As the days, months, and years go by it becomes increasingly difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It becomes hard to stay attached to your dreams because life makes them seem forever away. Like myself, you have probably hit a moment or multiple moments where life seemed to stand against you in every attempt for you to grow or move forward. In those moments when we are down we are akin to looking around our environment for direction, but oftentimes we forget about our most powerful source of strength…

Ourselves!

Now look I am not one to state the obvious but this is a truth that we can never take for granted. Life frames limits to offer a safe perspective of both who we are as people and how the world operates around us. But we are intrinsically limitless, no framework can account for how we manifest and believe in ourselves in the face of hardship. No obstacle can blind you from the light that shines within you. It is just a matter of belief. Not just a subconscious belief but an active and proactive practice of believing in yourself is essential to stay attached to your dreams not yet fulfilled. I implore us all to look within and find “you”. Now, what does it take for you to believe in “you”? Maybe you need to ask yourself a couple of questions to get yourself oriented to this concept of self-belief, so I ask both you and myself:

Why are “you”?
Who do “you” do it for?
Why do “you” work hard EVERYDAY?
What gets “you” up every morning?

Do we actively answer these questions for ourselves? Do we embody them in action?  I believe that we can and already do but when life kicks us down, to believe in ourselves is more than simply being able to answer these questions. When we believe in ourselves and I mean when we – in the face of chaos, pain, loss, and everything in between – can stand up and trust that our path leads to our dreams, we realize that our dreams are not up to the laws of fate, not up to the conditions of life that we were placed in, but they are up to us, and who we believe we are.

It’s up to YOU.
