If I had to define myself, I would say that I am love and service to others! Not just any type of love but the most unconditional. I am someone who is driven and passionate about making a change on this earth in the most subtle ways. I find joy in making people smile and feel good about themselves. I also love helping people realize their power within and becoming the best version of themselves every day. To me, that is what life is about.

The world is so much bigger than me so that’s why I aim to provide love to everyone! This is my purpose and what begins to create “heaven on earth”. Love is the only answer and that is why I make sure to take this with me in all that I do.

I am un-associated with limits. I don’t believe in incapabilities. I believe we can all achieve whatever we set our minds to. It first starts with believing in yourself and if you don’t believe, you must lie to yourself until you do. In other words, embody those things that you would like to attract in your life until it becomes a reality. Whatever you give your focus and energy to will bloom! We are so powerful and made of more than we think are. Even as I write this blog! Though I am not a writer, there is not a single limitation that I set upon myself because I know the power that I attain from a higher source inside of me. That is why I refuse to be defined by any agreements created by society. The only limits we have are the ones we impose on ourselves! If you want it, go get it. Period!

This pandemic has been the best thing that happened to me. Not in a social aspect but an aspect that matters most, my self-discovery and inner peace. One thing about society is that we are so used to distractions. Every moment of our life is being consumed by something outside of us that we sometimes forget about ourselves and who we are. I can honestly say that I have never been more at peace or content in my entire life. And I think that stems from slowing down and being alone. At first being by myself was so uncomfortable but this solitude has allowed me to gain access to something I have never felt before…. my truth! Every single day I am becoming more aligned with myself. Everything from the way that I feel, the things that I value, the thoughts that I allow to cross my mind, just everything! And I am not saying that every day is good but that is the profoundness of my faith and the beauty of life. I am appreciative of it all and I see that there is no one way of defining how to live this life! That is why it is important to be patient and gentle with yourself at all times.

One of the greatest trials that I had to overcome was always thinking about the past and the future ahead of me. I saw a quote that said, “I feel like I’m constantly worrying about the next part of my life without realizing that I’m right in the middle of what I used to look forward to.” I haven’t felt any quote like that in a while.

We sometimes forget the beauty of living in the moment when that’s when we are happiest. Think about it! When you are in the present moment, not a single thing crosses your mind. That’s how it should be.

Like how can anything change in your life if you continue to live with the same negative thoughts and emotions daily? Not to mention, they are just thoughts at the end of the day. Thoughts that we create that aren’t real. If you are going to feed yourself with thoughts, at least feed yourself with positive ones instead. When I became aware of this and started reprogramming my consciousness, that is when everything in my life began to change. This is why I now meditate every morning and say positive affirmations to myself throughout the day. There is also a particular scripture that uplifts me and anchors my thoughts to remaining positive and not pivoting elsewhere. It is 1 Peter 5:9 and the verse says: “Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.Through my reprogramming, my meditations, and inspiration like this, I broke the chains and no longer allow my mind and body to be in control. I am the master and that is the power that I behold! So yes, I can definitely see the link between that trial and where I am today.

My message to the youth would be affirming them that it is okay to be different. Even though there are almost 8 billion people on this planet, there is no one being that is the same. We are all unique in our own way. Just because everyone does something, doesn’t mean it is “cool”. Being your own person and doing what is aligned with your true value is what’s cool! If someone doesn’t approve of you, they weren’t meant to be in your life, to begin with. It is okay to remove people from your life especially when they are setting conditions on the love that they give you. They will continue to only accept you for what you do for them and you can’t allow for that in your life. Realize and understand that you can’t please everyone and you should not allow anyone or anything to sway you into a direction that isn’t meant for you! Be you and embrace yourself. You are special!
