Free At Last … We are Truly Set Free
So I ask us all, how do we forget or even doubt the freedom we have in Jesus? Like our ancestors the Israelites of old, history always seems to repeat itself …
It’s the time of year where people express thanks. A thank you to life, family, friends, achievements, events, or what ever it may be. The things I happen to be most thankful for aren’t even tangible; such as love, growth and wisdom. These three things encompass my biggest lessons and blessings this past year. They helped shape me into the person I am today and have given me the means to further my experiences and opportunities in regards to life, and my career.
Over the past year, self growth became a necessity for me because I became aware of the real power that comes with it. Being able to reflect and analyze the actions of everyone around me, and even myself, gave me a different perspective on life and how to treat certain situations. Learning myself and growing from that was one of the best lessons and blessings I didn’t know I needed.
With self growth came wisdom. I grew in every aspect of my life; emotionally, financially, physically, mentally, etc. The experiences I went through, because of my growth, allowed me to gain new knowledge — knowledge that I have been able to turn into experiences and as a result, gave me a sense of wisdom that i have been able to spread to my close friends and those younger than me. They say that knowledge is power, so I’m thankful for the true strength that came with it.
With all the growing, came the realization that I need to open myself up to the idea of actually loving people, and not necessarily in a romantic way. I learned to be at peace with myself so that I can openly care for others with little fear of being hurt by them. After I opened myself up, I seen so many others do the same and that mutual love for friends and family is something new but something that means a lot. My friends and I are growing together, my family and I are growing together, and the love of growing with someone is a different type of bond. This love is genuine and deep, and I am very appreciative for it because it has literally helped me through the worst and helped get me to my best.
Thank you to everyone and everything that has contributed to my growth. I see the true power in it and I finally see my potential. I’m using this space to acknowledge that of which I am grateful and thankful for. Take time to give thanks, find what you’re thankful for, and enjoy your holidays.

Salt and light each have very distinct qualities and unmistakable when present. They also function to modify and transform …
This experience was a reminder to me that God can be in the “still small voice”, and that sometimes your breakthrough requires a physical move …
The patience I had last year was sufficient for the situation I was in at the time, but now, more is required for where I am now …
