What drew me near to Unassociated was the passion, zeal, authority, and unapologetically shameless love...

I was lost and now I am found. That’s what comes to mind whenever I think of Unassociated and being a part of this great Christian company. Two years ago, when I was at my lowest point in life mentally and spiritually, a few more bad days away from a complete mental breakdown, and no sight of a future for myself, that’s when God took that veil off off my carnal eyes and I truly accepted God as my Lord and Savior. I became a full fledged Christian.

The craziest thing is when I was lost in my old life and ways, I learned of Unassociated by chance. One might say Unassociated tended to the seed that God would one day blossom into the calling on my heart. What drew me near to Unassociated was the passion, zeal, authority, and unapologetically shameless love they had and portrayed for God, and most importantly it being from young people. This was something I wasn’t used to or had really ever seen before in my life. Internally, I hoped to one day be like them. However, God laughs whenever we make plans; who would have thought God would have me working for the very company I admired and looked up to for motivation. It was just something I never saw for myself considering where I grew up where it is not socially “cool” to be that “Christian” amongst my peers. But like we’ve all come to learn and love about Unassociated, that’s the true definition of being Unassociated: becoming set apart, different amongst the rest of the masses, and authentically you.

To me, this four year anniversary for Unassociated means that their goal and agenda are continually and successfully becoming more prevalent and known around the world. The ideals, core values, and strong faith-based foundation in Christ (Matthew 7:24-29) has and will continue to uplift them to heights that God has planned for them.

I will forever say Unassociated has done more for me than I could ever do for them in a million lifetimes. From receiving a much needed word, motivation, or confirmation from the past Churchboy Confessions and Kreate with Kendra podcasts to astounding editorials that they feature weekly. It is a blessing to see a young community of Christains living like I strive to be daily and  identify with people, especially the “right” people in the crazy times we live in. Unassociated has given me a few good friends, something I never really had in my life, people who I consider family now. Unassociated gave me that much needed strength two years ago to forsake my old self and my ways of living that were going against how God calls us each to live daily. To put it simply there’s no current me without Unassociated. This company and its workers have made me a better Christian and person with all the tools they offer to the public for the sake of Christ. I jokingly say Unassociated, “Made a man out of me” since I’ve first come into contact with them.

The biggest takeaway since becoming part of Unassociated is that being and living different from others isn’t bad like some of us may have believed growing up. If anything it’s a liberating feeling when we take the shackles off that the world and society placed upon us and put on our true and most authentic selves whatever that may be.

I truly believe being unassociated means being your most authentic self in a world filled with replicas and not conforming to the copy that the world has created for you.

Unassociated portrays and demonstrates the great joy that comes with serving and being a part of Christ, (1 Peter 4:12-16) openly and unapologetically. I am Unassociated, and I hope one day you are too.
